The telephone can be used as a normal standard telephone (default setting); however, it can also be used as an emergency telephone.
The "emergency call button" must be programmed for emergency call use. This is freely programmable and could also be used as a speed dial memory for 4 phone numbers.

Why is retrofitting necessary at all?
Commercially available corded telephones are generally equipped with dynamic earpieces. These earpieces are characterized by very good acoustic properties. Due to their internal structure, these transducers generate strong magnetic fields in the low-frequency range from a few hundred nT to a few thousand nT (nano-Tesla) and are therefore definitely not radiation-free, as is unfortunately falsely claimed in some places. However, the piezo telephones we manufacture are an exception here. Due to their design, they do not develop a low-frequency magnetic field!
